AAMO by Aayusha Shrestha is Nepal's first conceptual accessories brand that prioritizes on understanding, documenting and preserving traditional skill sets of metal crafters. We work closely with home based artisans, who continue to practice traditional skills, which has been passed down generationally. Each design is structured around the skill set of artisans we work with, our heritage, culture practices or personal experiences.Rapid commercialization has made it increasingly difficult for these small-scale artisans to sustain their livelihood. Hence, AAMO is working to create an environment that allows traditional practices to be successfully passed down to the future generations to see, explore, practice and realize the endless possibilities of adapting it into our daily life and future.
